At ecom instruments, we offer highly qualified vocational training in a technical or commercial profession of your choice with interesting as well as international prospects.
If you decide to pursue a course of study at ecom, your vocational training will take place partly at ecom in Assamstadt and the remainder with our partner, the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University, at the campus in Bad Mergentheim or Mosbach.
Pursuing vocational training or a course of study with us means for you: taking responsibility from the outset, incorporating your own ideas and working in a great team with a high level of motivation.

Study Courses
Application tips:
You are interested in a training position with ecom and would like to apply? Then we have a few tips to make the application as simple as possible for you.
It goes like this:
Before you start, collect your application documents together in one file. This should in any case contain a covering letter, a current resume, relevant certificates/references as well as proof of placements, vacation jobs, etc.
Try to answer the following questions in your covering letter:
- Why do you want to work for ecom?
- Why are you particularly suited to the trainee position chosen?
- What are your expectations of the traineeship and ecom?
After you have sent your application, you will be sent a confirmation straightaway that we have received it.
We prefer to receive the application by our online form or email.
We would ask you to be somewhat patient. You have put a lot of work, time and effort into your application and we appreciate this. We therefore also take time to carefully study the applications we receive. The decision on whether to invite you for an interview is taken jointly by the relevant specialist department and the HR department.
We expect a high degree of interest in our company from our applicants. Make sure you are informed about ecom and our portfolio.
A job interview often causes stress. Try to minimize this by arriving punctually and well-prepared.
Following a successful interview, our HR department will prepare your employment contract and send it to you. Please sign the contract and return it to us.
We will provide you with support from the first day on so that you feel at home at ecom and can start your training successfully.
Bachelor thesis
You want to complete your Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science studies with a practically oriented Bachelor thesis at ecom instruments?
Then submit a proposal to us regarding the topic of your thesis and we will look to see if we are interested in the scientific or academic approach.
If so, you will be guided by your supervisor and a competent partner from our individual departments until the thesis is handed in.
Commencement: any time, individually determined
Duration: normally 6 months
Requirements: very good academic performance, interest and commitment
Information for parents
You know your child best and are aware of his or her strengths and weaknesses, interests and abilities. It is therefore important to assist and support your child to ensure he or she chooses the appropriate training profession or course of study.
So here are a few tips from us for you as parents:
- The choice of training professions is large and can appear unclear. So why not visit occupation information events or career fairs together with your child and obtain information about the different professions and possibilities.
- Encourage your child to attend placements or trial days in different occupations so as to find out whether it is the right profession and company for him or her. Such placements are also possible at ecom, of course, and we are very much in favor of them. In this way, both sides have the chance to get to know each other to begin with and assess each other better.
- Encourage your child to obtain information about interesting professions him/herself. On the Internet, via training portals or, best of all, first-hand from relatives, friends and acquaintances.
- Help and support your child with the application. This should be sent to the training company about one year before finishing school. Correct the application documents, simulate job interviews and obtain information about possible companies together with your child.
Just like you, we feel it is very important for your child to get the best possible training. For this reason, your child will be guided and individually supported at ecom by our committed training staff in a competent and purposeful way during the entire training period.
We plan our traineeships with great care in line with our objective of taking on as many trainees as possible permanently after they have completed their training.
