The much anticipated Android™ 11 operating system will be rolled out on ecom's tablet and smartphone series Tab-Ex® Pro and Smart-Ex® 02 within Q2/Q3 of this year. The upgrade of Android™ 11 on ecom's Smart-Ex 02 is planned to take place at the end of Q2/2021. We understand that we have to carefully balance the need to run a current OS version along with giving our customers the chance to prepare their software ecosystems for new releases.
As OEM of the Smart-Ex® 02 we are able to control the complete product life cycle and that helped us achieve Android™ Enterprise Recommended status. We continue to support current releases providing security updates and offering an upgrade on Android™ 11.
Android™ 11 brings several new features to ecom's mobile devices. Among many other features Android™ 11 introduces improved support for work profiles on company-owned devices. There is now full privacy on your work profile on company-owned devices. For IT departments there are new asset management features to ensure security without visibility into personal usage. Users can now set a schedule to automatically turn their work profile on and off.
Moreover, they can now choose whether to give apps they download permission to access sensitive data or not. In this way users and their data stay better protected.
To complement our hardware product lines, we have also developed "Digital Products & Services". This suite of software products is designed to streamline the enrollment, security, management and analysis of our hardware. We feel these solutions provide an additional layer of value to our customers.
