The latest tablet in the ecom product portfolio, the Tab-Ex 03, is now shipping with Android 12. The new OS upgrade makes the Tab-Ex 03 even more secure and user-friendly. Among other things, authorization management has been simplified. Users can now see at a glance when apps are accessing sensitive permissions such as location, camera or microphone, and can deny these permissions to any apps that they feel uncomfortable with.
Another new feature is the camera and microphone indicators. As soon as an app uses the camera or microphone, a green dot appears in the upper right corner of the screen. This gives the user control over whether an image or sound recording is currently being performed with the Tab-Ex 03 at any time.
Furthermore, the layout of the camera application has been revised. For example, special settings are only displayed when the lighting conditions require it. And video recording starts immediately after tapping the record button, not when the button is released. In addition, the scan function has been improved. Immediately after recording, the documents can be edited.
The calendar also offers a number of new features. A new widget can display the schedule for the day as well as a full calendar for the month already on the home screen. Battery or security problems are also displayed directly on the main screen, allowing the user to identify and solve problems more quickly.
