This year, the "protégés" from ecom instruments were once again successful at the "creative minds" (Kreative Köpfe) regional competition. The invention of an "intelligent smoke detector" was awarded the overall prize in the competition and the volume regulating headset add-on" won the first place for creativity and innovation.

Launched more than 10 years ago, the aim of the competition is to showcase the inventiveness and innovation of young people, especially girls, in the field of technology. The competition includes ideas from the areas of science, technology, computer science and mathematics.
Many regional companies and institutions support "Creative Minds". Students, in collaboration with experts from various companies, develop ideas and inventions to create a true working model of their invention. The steadily growing number of participants and participating schools highlight the success of the competition.
