The intrinsically safe smartphone Smart-Ex® 02 from ecom and the lone worker protection solution "novaalert PNA" have been certified according to DIN VDE V 0825-11 (formerly BGT). The components of ecom and novaalert thus meet the requirements for "personal emergency signal systems" according to DGUV regulation 112-139.
For the DIN VDE V 0825-11 certification, it is crucial that both the server and client software components as well as the smartphone hardware are perfectly matched and that all components comply with the required parameters.
The intrinsically safe and rugged Smart-Ex® 02 is certified for use in ATEX Zone 1/21 and Division 1 or ATEX Zone 2/22 and Division 2 and features a large 5-inch display, IP68 certification and comes with an "Android™ Enterprise Recommended" operating system.
Using novaalert's LWP application, an alarm can be sent either automatically by dead man's switch (position/rest sensor) or manually by emergency button. Other important functions, such as pause, route control, unmonitored area, or pre-alarm, prevent false alarms and offer users the highest flexibility and security. The fully integrated localization function provides location data quickly and precisely, and works both indoors as well as out in the field.
