An ecom year is coming to an end. A year in which ecom has once again been able to demonstrate its global market leadership in the area of mobile explosion protection throughout the world with a number of additions to its integral solution and product portfolio and a large number of new application partners. A year full of commitment and important innovations, as well as a year of setting strategic courses.
I would therefore like to take this opportunity as the founder of ecom instruments to express my personal thanks to you today for 30 years of ecom and for the success of my business idea 30 years ago, which you have supported and made possible. However, I would also like to say goodbye to you as, together with my wife, we go into our (active) retirement.
A step made possible for me through the takeover by my preferred partner Pepperl+Fuchs (P+F) at the turn of the year, because I know the business will continue to prosper in the experienced and successful hands of the combined ecom and Pepperl+Fuchs workforce. This will start in the new year hand in hand with full energy and commitment for our customers and with the launch of an additional P+F division at the Assamstadt facility to enhance the strength of Pepperl+Fuchs to provide innovative, cutting-edge solutions for Industry 4.0 in areas with potentially explosive atmospheres worldwide."
