New ATEX poster

Explosion protection is a wide field and sometimes not always easy to understand. Across the world, there are differing regulations and requirements, defining how products have to be designed, developed, certified, and manufactured, in order to be sold as explosion-proof or intrinsically safe.

To demonstrate how the ATEX designation is composed, we revised our popular ATEX poster. It now provides you with a nice overview about all areas of application, zone classification, type of protection and many more details on intrinsic safety.

Ecom's expertise is explosion protection. For 30 years we develop and produce intrinsically and explosion-proof mobile devices, for the most extreme areas and working conditions in the world. Our products are purchased by worldwide leading companies working in the oil and gas, Pharma, and chemical industry sectors.

The new ATEX directive 2014/34/EU, published in 2014, has become applicable as of April 20th 2016; while there are no major changes, only adjustments are needed. No changes are made on the "ATEX" marking and the classification of Groups and categories of equipment.
