ecom instruments has once again been awarded as World Market Leader Champion 2017. ecom, manufacturer of mobile devices for potentially hazardous areas, is listed under the category "Explosion protection for mobile devices (such as mobile phones, PDAs)" in the new World Market Leader Index of the University of St. Gallen, and the Academy of German World Market Leaders.
The WMF Index researches and presents the actual world market leaders, in the DACH area (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). The World market leader's index is based on an objective and transparent selection process. The resulting values are disclosed and the entire index subsequently made publicly available.
The criteria for the selection as World Market Leader Champion are:
- (owner) management with a seat of at least 50% in the DACH area
- World market: activity in at least 3 out of 6 continents with own production and / or distribution companies or export activity
- Annual turnover in millions of euros: at least € 50 million.
- Market leader: No. 1 or No. 2 in the relevant world market (segment)
- Export share / foreign share of turnover: at least 50% of turnover.
