Another Successful Year: ecom’s protégé's top the podium with the "Kreative Köpfe"

This year 29 participants have developed a huge number of lively creative ideas and implemented them in 17 projects. The competition for students, which was launched more than 10 years ago, aims to provoke the inventive talent of young people, especially females, and inspire them to innovate using technology. Ideas and inventions from the areas of natural sciences, technology, informatics and mathematics can be submitted.

ecom’s protégé’s successfully completed the regional competition „Kreative Köpfe“. With his swimming stop watch “Timekeeper“ the 13 year-old student Rick Wonn convinced the judges. He is number one among the „Kreative Köpfe“ of Bad Mergentheim, because his cost-efficient time-recording system allows professional swim training even without a trainer who stands with a stop watch at the pool edge. Only a stop mat is required additionally.

The management team of DHBW Bad Mergentheim also thought this idea promises potential. Professor Seo-Su Kim and Professor Enrico Pule also awarded Rick Wonn one of their three DHBW special prizes, which include a professional marketability analysis.

The 14 year-old Elias Hörner was able to climb to third in the overall standings. He succeeded in developing a 90% power saving solution with his LED adaption for overhead projectors.

“More than fulfilled” were the hopes of the 15th award ceremony which finished competition, according to Manfred Wittenstein, initiator of the competition.

ecom and his project supervisors are proud to develop professional and successful ideas with young inventors every year.
