Augmented reality (AR)

Augmented reality is the computer-assisted extension of the perception of reality. At the moment, AR is mostly used on tablets and smartphones. The device displays its surroundings via the camera on the display and gives users additional information in real time.

Application areas include fading in information about the immediate environment, displaying navigation aids in the field of view, and gaming.
