ecom - A Pepperl+Fuchs brand - proudly announces the launch of a brand new device in its product portfolio: the world's first uniquely combined smart glasses and smartphone solution, the Visor-Ex® 01. Because of the connected smart glasses and smartphone system, which comes with a choice of screen, ecom's solution provides a "best of both worlds" experience.
The Visor-Ex® 01 is designed for use in hazardous areas and harsh environments. It is a lightweight yet industrial grade wearable for process industries like the chemical, petrochemical or pharmaceutical industry.
It comes with dual 16-megapixel central cameras, a unique optical zoom lens, and a 3-axis adjustable OLED display (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) that provides instructions and additional information to the smart glasses' wearer. With the zoom lens on one side, the display on the other side and the central cameras in the middle, the wearer can experience the most balanced and comfortable pair of smart glasses on the market. This new device can be adapted to both right and left eye dominant wearers and can easily be clipped onto dedicated or personal protective equipment (PPE). Due to voice recognition and the additional touch pad the Visor-Ex® is ready for true hands-free operations. And with its IP68 certification, the Visor-Ex® 01 can be used in a wide range of harsh and hazardous environments.
The smart glasses allow the mobile worker to collaborate 24/7 with remote experts in real time and enable fast onsite repairs. This reduces travel time and costs and increases the mobile worker's efficiency, productivity, and safety.
