One of the most important aspects of IIoT is the enhancement of operational efficiency through the use of intelligent systems and more flexible production techniques.

To automate and optimize processes, IIoT often uses technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and Big Data analytics. It is used in many industries, including manufacturing, transportation, energy, and utilities. One example of how IIoT can be used is to monitor machinery in a manufacturing plant to schedule maintenance and repairs before breakdowns occur, increasing productivity and efficiency.
