Mobile Device Management (MDM)

Mobile Device Management (MDM) is a term used for the central administration of mobile devices (such as smartphones, laptops and PDAs) by administrators using hardware and software.

It is utilized in companies and the devices are often managed wirelessly by the IT department. MDM provides the IT department with the ability to control, secure, manage and monitor mobile devices or desktops owned by the company or employees that access sensitive corporate data.
