Beacontree's OneTouch Inspection is a game changing mobile app that utilizes the Near Field Communication (NFC) device on your Intrinsically-Safe smart phone or tablet to easily launch an inspection process that meets your safety and quality needs in an efficient manner.

As the term "one-touch" implies, we have designed a simple-to-use, finger-friendly touchscreen that is easy to read, navigate and select. This turns any complex inspection or questionnaire into an easy to manage process. By coupling our mobile app with robust NFC tags certified for hazardous environments, we can authenticate WHERE, WHEN and HOW an inspector did their work.

Features

  • Login identifies your staff member as the inspector. We automatically validate WHO logs in by having them touch an NFC key fob.
  • Touching an NFC Zone tag authenticates WHEN & WHERE the inspector is, then launches instructions and inspection questions that apply.
  • As a back-up to reading NFC tags, we provide a QR Code scan as an alternative way to launch the inspection.
  • When a defect is identified, it prompts the inspector to take a photo and optionally record an audio message.
  • Color coding is applied to the app to show the status of the inspection process. Greyed out touch points are inactive until they are turned blue, which ensures the inspector to proceed in the right way. Green, yellow and red are used to classify the defect types observed where major defects are red, minor defects are yellow and defect-free zones are green.
  • An inspection report submission can only happen when all zones have been visited.
  • The inspection results are sent back to the designated staff at headquarters, with a PDF file of the report sent back to the inspector.
  • The NFC tags we use are designed for outdoor use and are certified for ATEX Zone 1/21 and Class1/Div1 hazardous areas.
  • If the cellular or WiFi network connection is lost during the inspection, One-Touch is designed to operate offline, then synchronizes the inspection results upon re-connection with the network.
  • The inspection can be customized to meet the customer's jurisdictional and maintenance obligations.
  • Web console services are provided to access/analyze the inspection history for all assets and employees.
