The SafeEx software sets a new standard for inspection and maintenance. The main focus is on improving safety, increasing efficiency and reducing downtime. With the overview, you will become fully aware of the status of all your units – if there is any change, you will be notified by email. This gives full transparency to decision makers. The software proves your inspector’s presence by the use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) Technology. The combination of the technology and the software assures real-time and high quality data.

The software is developed for known PDAs certified for zone 1 and 2. The solution enables your personnel to electronically register all observations/non-conformities during the inspection. Afterwards the information will automatically be uploaded to the maintenance system.

SafeEx can either manage the system completely by conducting the inspections or train your inspectors to use the system, ensuring safety, resolving issues and assure all is done on time. The various modules available makes it possible to choose the content, you desire, so the software can match the exact criteria you have for your inspection and maintenance routines.

By scanning a RFID chip mounted on the equipment with the handheld device, the inspection is initiated. The system will present a checklist dependent on the particular equipment and the selected inspection type. For instance Ex “e” equipment and the visual inspection type returns the checks provided by the system configuration for the particular equipment group. Thoroughly guided through the checks, the inspector conducts the inspection and collects data directly on the handheld device. If any non-conformities are registered, the system will prompt a definition and priority.

The SafeEx Software ensures the inspector’s presence by the equipment by mounting an RFID Chip on each equipment. The RFID Chip will register the equipment’s model data and dictates scanning by the handheld device to start an inspection. Hence a connection between the inspector and the equipment and proof of the inspector’s presence. The electronic tasks will save you downtime, increase efficiency and most important: Improve safety.
